Abc For Kids Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

ABC Kids is the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's part-time channel, broadcasting shows between the hours of 5 am and 7:30 pm in each local Australian channel. It is aimed for children 6 and under. ABC Kids shares the same bandwidth as ABC Comedy which broadcasts outside ABC Kids' scheduled hours and supplements the flagship ABC channel with extra adult-oriented programming.

A parent mentioned, "We loved the old ABC Kids app. My son could watch what he wanted and could find what he needed, when he wanted. Now he is shown things the app thinks he might like to watch and becomes frustrated looking for what he likes. It’s not great for him to be flicking through shows when he usually chose from just a few. This app seems to think children under 4 have the same requirements for an app as an adult does. Also as a parent, long episodes no longer show the total episode length, therefore we think my son is choosing a ten minute episode before bed but find out it’s a 58 minute fireman Sam movie. There are major problems with buffering too, the episodes used to move seamlessly from one to another but now it pauses to buffer the next episode. The previous format that showed previously played episodes in a table format at the top was also easier for little browsers. Luckily we still have an old iPad with the previous abc version on it."

Abc For Kids App constantly crashes and has poor customer service, Stanley shared a review at apps.apple.com "I have applied MAC filtering to my home router. My iPad internet connection works just fine. However, when I use the ABC Kids App it will flash up an error that the internet is not connected with a black background screen yet I can still hear the audio of the video. It happens on all videos selected. Other devices (iPhones and iPad all with the same most recent iOS) run the ABC Kids App just fine. Have emailed support and get the typical (unhelpful) advice it’s a network problem. Really! How can that be the answer without an error log?"

Coordenador de Festas (Former Employee) says

"Bastante exigência da parte dos chefes, mais bons elogios pelo trabalho bem feito, ótimo ambiente, pessoas carismáticas e felizes com oque fazem Cons: baixa remuneração"

Apprentice Nursery Nurse (Former Employee) says

"a typical day at work begins from the moment the first child arrives. you make sure you have equipment out ready for the children to learn and that all is set up. when the children arrive you prepare them breakfast, once all children are in you then play and co-operate with them in their learning. preparing snack and getting children organised is a main role in the job."

Former Employee - English Teacher says

"I worked at ABC English full-time for less than a year Cons: Nothing is as it seems. The owners constantly fight. No organization. Constant miscommunication and changing of plans at the last second that even leaves students confused. Horrible micromanaging. Teachers are emotionally abused and left feeling like the only thing that matters is money and the school looking good in the eyes of the customers. The owners do not care about their teachers' well-being. The owners will lie or try to cover up things to make themselves look good. Do not believe the good reviews!"

Former Employee - Sales Associate says

"I worked at ABC English full-time for more than a year Cons: Nothing is bad in organisation"

Current Employee - Teacher says

"I have been working at ABC English full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Not much prep time before classes"

Former Contractor - English Teacher says

"I worked at ABC English for more than 3 years Cons: Managers at times are disconnected from the human side of things. Employees have horror stories about trying to call in sick. The working hours can be brutal 9 hrs + lunch which is 45mins, sometimes you have to work on a weekend day which puts you to a 6 day week. Sometimes when one is getting ready to leave, managers call for an impromptu meeting..... they don't value persons personal time. Sometimes your hours will go over 40 hours for the week as you have to stay back for this and for that. The managers are married and have arguments in the workplace."
